Recruiting Report: Keyshawn Embery (2018)
Keyshawn Embery moved to Florida to attend IMG Academy for his senior season. The 2018 national recruit and former Oklahoma #1 prospect told Prep Hoops on Monday night he was down to two schools, Arkansas and Texas A&M. Embery visited the schools officially last two weekends.
He will have the opportunity to play at both programs right away. Which ever school lands Embery gets a player who can contribute right away at the two guard spot with the skills to slide to the one at times. Embery is a playmaker on both ends of the court.
This July the hard work Embery put in showed with the improvement in his jumper. Embery is one of the best in the country at getting to the rim. The tenacity Embery brings out each time on the court separates him from others.
Embery talked with Prep Hoops about what he is looking for in a school.
“Me playing right away and the coaching staff are big things I am looking for,” said Embery. “I want to go where It feels like home.”
Embery is looking forward to making his decision this week. On Monday night Embery told Prep Hoops he would announce his decision on Saturday. One thing is for sure; the SEC is getting a heckuva player.
Oklahoma Run PWP gave Embery the platform to succeed on the Under Armour Circuit the past two summers. Embery took that chance and thrived. 2017 Under Armour All-American Camp is the moment Embery offers started to boom. Embery has had a great high school basketball career making the state tournament two times in Oklahoma. Now he will compete at the national level with IMG Academy. Embery is home this weekend in Oklahoma City with the hurricane but says in his time at IMG so far he has been very pleased with his decision to further his basketball career.
“IMG is great,” Embery said. “Best decision I could have made!”
