Prospect Spotlight: Jamison Guerra (2020)
Sherwood’s Jamison Guerra a 5’10 point guard was one of the Bowmen’s rising stars last season. Guerra, also know as J-boogie amongst coaches and teammates, had the ability to always find the open guy and was willing to leave it all out on the court for his program. Guerra led the team in assists and charges and developed as a leader on the court for his teammates as the season progressed. “The best part about playing basketball is forming bonds with your teammates and coaches” Guerra says.
In the offseason Guerra decided not to do any sort of aau basketball but instead to spend his time perfecting his game. He has done multiple workouts with Mt.Hood community college’s assistant coach Nate Bowie and many other workouts with one of Payton Pritchard’s former trainers, Jameille Parrish.
With no serious looks from any schools yet, Guerra looks to change that during his upcoming Sophomore season. Hoping to continue to develop his game and take his team to the next level, Guerra’s hard work ethic and ability to make others better is setting him up for success.
