Prospect Spotlight: Jahiem Franklin (2020)
Jahiem Franklin is headed into his sophomore season.
The 2020 Palm Beach Lakes point guard says he saw his court vision and ability to get other players involved grew last year on JV. Now, the 5’8″, 135-pounder will make his varsity debut for a Rams squad that went 24-4 and appeared in the Class 8A state Final Four last season.
This summer, Franklin played his first year for the Stampede.
“My focus for this summer is to stay in my books keep getting better every day and to improve my skills in so that I can become one of the best point guards in the country,” he told Prep Hoops Florida. “All of this is going to go well especially with the people I have around me helping me and also my coaches and staff.”
He started playing basketball at age 13. Franklin says the reason he started in middle school was that all of his friends were asking him to.
Franklin pointed to his bounce, vision and passing as his biggest strengths right now.
No offers or interest have come yet for the 2020 prospect. Franklin had a nice summer and is going to carve out a role for Palm Beach Lakes with the ball in his hands. Undersized and fast, Franklin will turn some heads this season for the Rams.
