Oregon Top 250: Sharpshooters
One of the strongest aspects of our recent Oregon Top 250 Showcase were the number of quality shooters who participated. We don’t allow teams to play zone in our showcases and it’s a good thing, because these guys are all big time zone buster level shooters.
Caden Dickson 5’10 Guard 2019 Tualatin HS
The under sized guard made shots at a high clip throughout the day and showed a great understanding of how to use screens to get himself open for shots.
Mason Vranes 6’2 Guard 2018 Crater HS
The established shooter from Southern Oregon did what he does best, knock down catch and shoot jumpers. His quick release compliments his aggressive shooting mentality and leads to some hot stretches.
Bryson Crockett 6’2 Guard 2020 West Linn HS
The smooth shooting lefty continued to knock down catch and shoot jumpers at a high level but also showed off an improved ability to shoot off the dribble, making him an even more dangerous offensive threat.
Nathan Bittle 6’9 Post 2021 Crater HS
The talented freshman big man was lights out from deep range and showed a great feel for spacing in the pick and pop game. He utilized offensive spacing to get open shots and then knocked them down at a high clip.
Kobe Newton 5’11 Guard 2019 Westview HS
Newton started a little slow, but was lights out shooting the ball in the last two games of the day. He was equally adept at shooting off the dribble, doing a nice job of using ball screens to get his shot off.
Nate Millspaugh 6’1 Guard 2021 Clackamas HS
The heady floor leader also shot the ball at a high clip, proving to be a tough match up for many of the guards at the showcase with his ability to shoot from deep.
