2018 Division II Prospects
Division One basketball is the dream of every high school basketball player in the country. Finding the right fit is key in a successful college career and sometimes going Division II and Division III is the best route for some players.
Here is a look at some 2018 prospects that fall into that spectrum.
Alon Parker 5’9 PG Concord HS-A lock down defender, can shoot it from the outside. Has a knack for playing and performing well in big games. Parker is a bit undersized and that might push him to the Division II tier.
Isaac Bonds 5’8 PG EE Smith Fayetteville Elite – Bonds continues to get better each and every time I get to see him play, has nice athletic ability and is an uptempo guard. Made major strides this season as he took over the varsity PG spot and logged major minutes.
Arshon King 6’5 CG EE Smith Fayetteville Magic-King can be as good as he wants to be when he’s locked in, can handle the ball, is athletic, can score from inside and out. Has to bring consistent effort on D but has all the tools.
Grayson Collins 6’0 PG Caldwell Academy-Skilled scorer and a lefty that gets into the paint & has deep range from beyond the three-point line. Collins is athletic and does a little bit of everything pretty well. He would be a solid pick-up at the Division II level.
Latrell Lloyd 5’10 G Overhills- Lloyd is a young man that is a high flyer and had countless plays this season with highlight dunks and blocks. Secondly is his toughness, being a football player as well as a basketball player he has that toughness that a lot of players simply don’t have.
Deland Thomas 6’1 SG Rosman HS-Thomas is a smooth shooting guard that can light it up from outside, has a good handle and can defend the point guard spot.
