Prospect Spotlight: Thomas Bernard (2018)
This summer has seen a number of under the radar prospects leave their mark, and a player who’s stock has risen over the last couple of months is Thomas Bernard. Thomas an upcoming senior at Cypress Creek High School played his AAU season with MTE Diamonds, where he was considered the glue guy and the engine that made the team go.
During the spring and summer Thomas had impressive showings for his club, including a 31 point and 15 rebound outburst in front of college coaches during the April live period. Bernard has gone from a virtually un known prospect to receiving a lot of interest from schools and camp invites.
When you meet Thomas you can’t help but to be attracted to his room commanding energy, he lights up a room and is one of the funniest human beings you will ever meet. Bernard’s good attitude translates onto the court where he is known as his team’s energy guy. During up and downs during a game you will find Thomas encouraging and rooting on his teammates, he is a locker room glue guy who keeps a team’s spirits up.
Bernard really bursted onto the scene with his play this spring and summer and is on path to receiving more and more interest and offers throughout his senior campaign, a guy who can not only produce with the best of them, but be an energy and glue guy in the locker room is definitely a hot commodity for college coaches.
