Prospect Spotlight: Jalen Brinson (2019)
Jalen Brinson became a floor leader this past season at Olympia.
The 2019 guard stands at 5’10”, 130 lbs. No offers or interest has come yet for him, but he’s been around the game for a while. It all started at the age of 5.
“The most I learned from last season is having a team that depends on me to hit shots and being more patient with the ball in my hands and let the play develop,” Brinson told Prep Hoops Florida. “My role at Olympia next season is to be an aggressive guard on both ends of the floor and be able to play the 1 or the 2 whenever the team needs me.”
This summer, Brinson ran with the Q6 All Stars Elite for the first time. He worked on his strength and being a better ball handler under pressure. He’s worked with Q6 coach Willie Anderson since the 5th grade.
Brinson called his shooting and leadership qualities as a point guard his biggest strengths. He’s aiming to improve on his finish at the rim when contact comes his way.
Entering his junior campaign, the rising point guard can help stretch the floor for the Titans this season. Brinson is a speedy player and with some muscle added to his frame, he should be able to attack more.
