Senior Splash: Summer League 2018 Standouts Pt. 2/3
Malik Richardson: Eastside High School
Malik has a frame that will present trouble for anyone aiming to enter the post. His 6’3”-6’4”, 200 pound body can anchor a defense, making it difficult for ball-handlers to make decisions once they penetrate the middle. He’s an above average shot-blocker. Definitely a guy who wont let anything easy get to the rim.
Tray Miller: Columbia High School
He’s a wispy guy on the floor, but Miller can flat out stroke the three once one or two start falling. His outside shooting is probably his biggest asset, but if that three isn’t available, Miller knows how to put it on the floor and drive baseline. He’s great at moving with out the ball, as well. Miller won’t be a guy that stands around, waiting for action to happen. He aims to help create.
Mike Shields: North Marion High School
This senior here knows how to run the lane well and get to his spots to operate. The biggest aspect of his game right now lies in his ability to finish at the rim, off-the-drive. If he’s traveling through traffic, Shields can finish with muscle at the cup. If the paint is stacked while penetrating, his floater can bring defenses to their knees.
Noah Scarpetta: North Marion High School
One of the best passers in Gainesville’s summer league lies in the hands of Scarpetta. His vision in-transition is above-average. He always keeps his head up looking for the open man. In the half-court, Scarpetta knows how to make the right past into the post. If you’re looking for a guy who knows how to SHARE the rock, Scarpitta’s good for that.
