Wyatt Hollmann talks junior season, summer and college looks
This past season, 2018 forward Wyatt Hollmann averaged a double double for DeLand.
The 6’8″, 220-pounder averaged 12.9 points and 11.0 rebounds per game for the Bulldogs (17-11). DeLand made it to the Class 9A region quarterfinal but fell to Oviedo. Hollman enjoyed his junior campaign.
“The biggest difference in my game last year is that I was looking to score and also trying to help everyone else around me succeed by rebounding and drawing a double team and passing out,” Hollmann told Prep Hoops Florida.
He is running with 1Family, a program he’s been with since 8th grade. He called playing with them, the best thing that has happened to him.
Starting his basketball life at age 8, Hollmann points to his rebounding and passing as his biggest strengths. He’s aiming to improve his perimeter play.
Currently, he has offers from Stetson and FIU. Hollmann has also drawn interest from Yale, Princeton, James Madison, William & Mary, Lipscomb, Rice and Georgia Southern. He is a dangerous interior player and someone who routinely reaches 10 points and 10 rebounds rather quickly in games. Look for him to have an even bigger senior season where he shows his added strength.
