Head Coach: Louis Wilson
National Christian Academy HS, Fort Washington, MD.
Head Coach: Trevor Brown
Both Riverdale Baptist HS and National Christian Academy are well know in the Washington, DC DMV for producing excellent teams and college prospects. In tonight’s 2017 Falconers Summer League Final The Riverdale Baptist Crusaders easily defeated National Christian Academy in the Championship game 58-38 Despite the margin of victory NCA had several excellent prospects which we will mention.
Riverdale Baptist is very deep, athletic and could be poised to challenge for the #1 ranking in the Washington DC, DMV and a national ranking. Head Coach Louis Wilson responded after the game,” I am very proud of my players in our workouts and individual player training. This makes us better as a team and we are embracing other as a unit and playing a championship brand of basketball. I am very excited about this coming season, but we have 2 more team tournaments this summer. One will be at Albright College in Pennsylvania and the other in Las Vegas. We fought thru adversity tonight with highly regarded PG Donovan Toatley sitting out as precautionary measure. 6’9″ forward Tyrese Samuel is out of the area and will be coming back soon.” Donovan who is now on national radar and Tyrese is ranked in the top 120 both have the potential to climb the rankings.
