Prospect Introduction: Ty Cook (2020)
2020 guard Ty Cook soaked it all in as a freshman.
Despite sitting out the season at Miami Palmetto, he worked out daily and became a student of the game trying to become a better decision maker and leader.
The 6’1″, 170-pounder says his IQ improved and his ability to slow the game down as well.
“Next year I would like to show college coaches that I’m a floor general and can make everyone better,” Cook told Prep Hoops Florida.
Cook is running with Thunderstruck 15U on the Adidas Gauntlet. He says he’s focused on winning games and becoming a better player this summer.
He started playing basketball in 3rd grade. He calls his basketball IQ, passing and athleticism his biggest strengths. He’s looking to improve his outside shot and defense overall.
No offers have come yet for Cook but he has interest from Arkansas State and Georgia Southern. This kid is a student of the game. He’s really taken it seriously since entering high school and this summer with Thunderstruck will help him grow plenty. Cook is a 2020 athlete to keep a close eye on.
