Berrick Jean Louis talks his first year at Canterbury, summer ball and more
Berrick Jean Louis made the move over to Canterbury after two seasons with Lehigh. The 6’5″, 185-pounder led the Cougars with 16.5 points per game as a junior.
He also averaged 6.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.0 block per game as Canterbury went 22-7 in Class 3A play.
“This year at Canterbury went well we didn’t have much talent but we didn’t let that stop us we played hard,” Jean Louis told Prep Hoops Florida. “The thing I learned the most was how to be a leader and the thing that I improved the most in my game is my ability to find the open man and defend the team’s best players.”
Jean Louis is spending his first summer with Team Knight on the Adidas Circuit. He says it has been great so far as they are one of the top teams in Florida.
The rising senior pointed to his slashing ability and defending ability as his biggest strengths. He wants to improve his confidence in his shooting this season.
Currently, Jean Louis has five offers in total from UAB, FGCU, Murray State, South Alabama and UNF.
He’s also drawn interest as of late from Dayton, George Washington, Mercer, Stetson and Kennesaw State.
Jean Louis is a superb athlete. He’s a guy who excels as a track and field standout for the Cougars as well. His speed and determination help him as a combo guard. Playing with Team Knight will boost his confidence heading into his senior campaign. Jean Louis is a mid-major Division I talent.
