6 Players to watch for in the upcoming 2018 season
A few stock-rising performances so far this spring already have us looking ahead to next year’s high school season. Who are we excited to keep tabs on?
Darius Guinn is 6’6″ and is very versatile and can play the 1 through the 5 in some situations. With his height, ball handling, and shooting ability Guinn can stretch the floor. Guinn will be running with Team Lillard this AAU season in the Adidas Gauntlet. Watch out for Darius Guinn on the circuit this year this young man is on the cusp of blowing up.
Kyle Greeley can score in a number of different ways which separates me from a strict shooter. The 6’4″ junior is tall and long which helps him be able to rebound and be a solid defender. Greeley is starting to form himself into a great leader.
Jaden Nielsen-Skinner (Skinny) a 5’10 quick shifty junior point guard from South Salem high school has NBA range, a tight handle and shows good leadership on the court. Skinny plays AAU with the hoop Salem and averages 19 points 3 assist 3 steals.
Alexsis Angeles is a combo guard from Tualatin. Angeles has all the tools to be force to be reckoned offensively. He can get to the basket, hit the midrange and also shoot from the perimeter. Angeles was awarded Player of the Year and first team honors for his Three Rivers League.
Ty Rankin, Grant high school combo guard, knows how to facilitate and has great IQ on and off the ball. Clutch player and really values both sides of the ball and can give your team a bucket if needed. Tight handle, aggressive to the hole and has a nice 3 point shot.
Immanuel Allen is a all around basketball player. Becoming a first team all league selection and a honorable mention selection for all state. 6’4 with top notch athleticism is growing his outside game to become a complete player. He led his team this year in Points, Rebounds, Blocks, Steals and was second in Assists.
