Recruiting Report: Demetrius Mims (2018)
This spring/summer Mims will be playing with Team Melo 17U on the EYBL circuit. "I want to continue to keep getting better on the defensive end this summer," Mims told PrepHoops. "I also want to get a more consistent jumper and tighten up my ball-handling." Currently Mims holds offers from Old Dominion, VCU, St. Johns, Robert Morris, and Towson. Schools that are beginning to express interest include La Salle, Tulsa, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, and Temple. College coaches have been relaying to Mims that they love his ability to impact a game in multiple ways whether it's by scoring, using the attention the defense pays to him and distributing to open teammates, or locking down the opposition's best scorer. Mims has been studying Paul George's game this season and the way he impacts the game on both ends. Along with being one of the best wings in the league offensively, George is known for his knack for getting after it on defense as one of the top perimeter defenders as well. This what that jungle do 🦁🔥 @HoopMajor pic.x.com/eBRxQWB1QS
