Charles, one of the top unsigned seniors left is getting ready to make an impact at the next level.
The 6’4 combo guard had an impressive senior campaign and is following that up with a great start to his last summer of AAU. Charles who averaged 18 PPG, 8 RPG, 2 APG, 2 SPG this past season has followed that with some great games this summer while leading his team to a tournament championship on their first tournament of the summer and earing MVP honors. Not only can he takeover a game and gut out a victory when needed, Charles is always looking to make the right play, wether that is dishing off to an open teammate or taking the defender on himself.
Mcleon who has just received an offer from Webber International University, is gettong ready for basketball at the next level with an intense off-season workout plan. I have had the opportunity to get to know the young man this year and he has really impressed me with his attributes that go way beyond the game of basketball, from rooting his teammates on, to supporting his friends at everything they do, Mcleon has shown he is a terrific person to be around.
“Don’t ever quit on what you like to do, God will open a door for you” Charles says that is a quote he lives by, and you can tell from watching him play and speaking to him. The fact that he has somehow gone under the radar and is still unsigned has not broken him at all, it has only pushed him to get better.
Mcleon is looking forward to furthering his education and playing basketball at the next level, “Most important thing I’m looking forward to in college is gaining knowledge, and also changing phiscally and mentally.” Charles is taking the steps necessary to make a big splash this summer and beyond.
