Tavin Lovan Wins Prep Hoops KY Player of the Year
After a week-long running poll, Franklin-Simpson High School’s Tavin Lovan recorded the most votes and is the 2017 PrepHoopsKentucky.com Player of the Year. Although it came down to five outstanding athletes, only one could come out on top of the others.
Known for being one of the top players all-time in the 4th Region and currently a finalist for Kentucky Mr. Basketball, Lovan had a spectacular senior season. He averaged 26.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game as he carried the Wildcats all the way to the 4th Region Tournament semifinal round and an overall record of 26-7.

DeAndre, known to everyone as “Pedro,” is also a Kentucky Mr. Basketball finalist put on a show in 2016-17. In his final season of prep basketball, Bradshaw, a Belmont signee, averaged 22.5 points and 13.3 rebounds per contest for the Panthers, who fell in the 4th Region Tournament championship to Bowling Green, finishing the season with an overall mark of 22-12.
