Recruiting Report: Rifen Miguel (2019)
2019 forward Rifen Miguel is an ascending player.
The 6’8″, 235-pounder showed off his ability at The Top Rank Showcase Orlando earlier this month. He fought his way as an attacker and as a rebounder. He said he’s just doing his thing.
Miguel suited up for West Oaks last season but will be making the move to Impact Academy alongside his teammate Eric Amandio.
He told me that he saw his ability to control the paint grow two-fold this past season.
Miguel is back with E1T1 Elite this summer and is focused on playing his game and helping his team win games.
The Ingombotas, Angola native first starting playing basketball five years ago. He’s aiming to improve his handles and body shape.
Currently, Miguel has offers from James Madison and Tennessee-Chattanooga. He also has drawn interest from Louisville and Minnesota.
Expect the 2019 big man to have a big summer as he continues his rise. He’ll make Impact an improved team and this will certainly give him a chance to showcase his abilities.
