The Victors (27-2) cruised past Temple Christian 86-53 while Florida Prep took care of North Florida Educational 69-41.
Here are the top performers from the day in 2A:
Neftali Alvarez (Miami Christian)
When it comes to a complete game, no one had a better day on this list than Alvarez. The 6’1″ junior led his group with 23 points as he shot 10-of-13 from the floor. Alvarez is a very crafty player.
Dejuon Small (Florida Prep)
The 5’10” junior added 18 points for Florida Prep as he connected on big shots time and time again. Small made a long two to beat the halftime buzzer while also making back to back 3’s to open up the third quarter.
Donald Knight (Temple Christian)
For Temple Christian, Knight was the best thing going. The 5’10” senior scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Mbacke Diong (Florida Prep)
Diong put on a show for the crowd with dunk after dunk. The 6’11” senior had 14 points and 12 rebounds while connecting on 10-of-11 shots from the field.
Damion Walker (North Florida Educational)
It was tough sledding for North Florida Educational, but Walker eased the pain at times. The 6’1″ senior scored 13 points in his final high school game.
Ed Camacho (Miami Christian)
The 6’1″ senior was really good. Camacho made 6-of-7 shots from the field for 16 points in just over 17 minutes on the floor.
Josh Rosario (Miami Christian)
Another key piece for the Victors was 6’3″ senior Josh Rosario. He added 13 points and provided constant energy for Miami Christian.
