On Wednesday night, the Seminole junior scored a team-high 17 points in a 58-39 loss to St. Pete in the Class 8A-District 10 semifinals.
“I thought this was a really good year for my team and I,” Demuth said. “Of course we wished to make it further on into the playoffs but it didn’t happen. I love my team and love playing with them.
His range was evident in that game against the athletic Green Devils. Demuth attacked often and showed off his abilities there.
“I’m really looking to improve my overall outside jump shot I felt it was inconsistent throughout the season,” he said.
At times, Demuth did too much with his cast struggling in the game. It forced him out of his comfort zone, dribbling a lot and running the point. His poise is impressive, but his overall dribbling needs some seasoning. That will help him complete his overall game.
Demuth currently holds seven offers which include FSU, South Carolina, James Madison, North Florida, USF, Wyoming and Western Carolina.
He’s also drawn interest from Florida, Richmond, FGCU, Stanford and Yale. Demuth says FSU and UF are showing him the most love as of late.
It’s hard not to really like Demuth’s potential. He can glide to the rim with ease with his long arms and upper body strength. If he can continue to improve his outside shot and comfort level as a point man, then he’ll be very good at the next level. Big-time programs have come calling because the upside is there for Demuth.
