Strates, the Junior big man had a terrific game, he finished with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks. Jaxson had some key plays for the Highlanders when the game was still close in the first half, a couple of big dunks pushed momentum Lake Highland’s way.

A fast-break dunk in the third quarter was the standout play of this one.
Best offensive performance: Nick Honor (Lake Highland Prep)
Nick will be the best player on the floor on most nights and he did not disappoint tonight, following a 40 point performance last night, Honor finished with 24 tonight.
Best defensive performance: Lake Highland Prep
The whole team was great on defense tonight, they swarmed on the ball and made life difficult on Orangewood, they controlled the game and held the Rams to 38 points until some buckets in garbage time.
Best guy off the bench: Will Saxton (Lake Highland Prep)
Saxton makes the hustle plays and plays strong down low, he finished with 7 rebounds and gave his team key minutes.
Best intangibles: Nick Honor (Lake Highland Prep)
Honor leads the Highlanders night in and night out, he sees the game within the game and helps his teammates get to their right spots, he is also as clutch as they come.
Best under-the-radar performance: Bryton Belvin (Lake Highland Prep)
The big man plays his role really well, he crashes the glass and protects the paint. He finished with 6 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks.
Best underclassmen: Malik Dixon (Lake Highland Prep)
The sophomore can get to the basket and hit the boards, he had a solid performance with 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals.
Best catch and shoot guy: Kevin Veygel (Orangewood Christian)
Veygel has a good looking shot, he has a knack for finding open spots, when his teammates get him the ball, he can stroke it from deep.
Best story to watch moving forward: Lake Highland Prep
Lake Highland’s regular season is now finished and they head to their district tournament on a 6 game win streak, they are hot at the right time and will be a tough out in a very tough district, they will be the 3rd seed behind Windemere Prep and The Master’s Academy, if they keep playing like this, the highlanders will give the two favorites a run for their money.
