Trigg is a transfer student-athlete from Trotwood Madison-High School. He went over to Meadowdale High School for his final season of high school basketball. Transferring is always a gutsy move, but Johnny Trigg is making it well worth it. I asked Trigg what were his goals for the season playing for a new school.
Trigg said, “My goals for this season are to make first team all-city and just to prove to people that I really got game. I felt mistaken at my other school”.
To sum of the way Trigg plays, he brings aggressiveness on offense by slashing to the bucket and being able to stop and set for a mid-range jump shot when the defense provides the space for it. On defense, he likes to refer to himself as a “lockdown defender”. Trigg takes pride in his defensive ability because he mentions how defense brings points. Trigg is averaging 13 points a game and shooting 94% from the free throw line.
Trigg is still on the market. He has no offers right now but as long as he keeps playing good basketball, he should be able to draw some attention from a few coaches.
