The Toledo St. Francis prospect has checked nearly every box in the first half of his senior season: the team is 11-1, he is providing senior leadership, and the Knights are poised for a playoff run. Their success has been a surprise to the public, but not so much for KCG.
“I’m not surprised at all. We worked hard this offseason. We just bought into what Coach [Travis] Lewis had to say and had a lot of confidence going into the season,” Coleman-Graham said.
“The difference from this year to last year, I took on more of leadership role this year because I’m a senior. It’s helped us.”
The only aspect lacking from his résumé currently is a scholarship offer. College programs interested in KCG are widespread, ranging from the Mid American Conference to Division III.
“Tiffin has been recruiting me a little bit. Toledo been showing a little bit of interest too. Goshen, Wittenberg, and a few schools like that,” Coleman-Graham listed as schools he’s been in contact with.
So, what does he value in a school?
“Just a balance between the academics and the athletics,” Coleman-Graham said, who holds a 3.0 GPA.
Coleman-Graham plans on making a college decision “towards the end of the season, going into the playoffs.”
With that being said, the time is now to make an impression on an intelligent point guard, who has great ball security, decision making, and can score the ball. He is arguably the key piece for the #5 team in Division I currently.
Those interested can catch the Knights in action Friday night at Fremont Ross High School.
