Here is a Q&A with Jake Walter.
PHKY: What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?
JW: Strengths- Passing, good hands, good defense, rebounding defensively and offensively.
Weakness- Developing better post moves and quickness.
PHKY: What areas of improvement have you been the most focused on?
JW: Improvement- conditioning, agility, post moves.
PHKY: What sets you apart from other recruits/players?
JW: My size and strength. Passing out of traffic and good hands.
PHKY: Talk about your on-court growth from last season to this season?
JW: My confidence is higher than it was last year. My understanding of the game is better. I lost 75 pounds so I’m in better shape and my conditioning is a lot better. I have better court vision. Better defense.
PHKY: How is your season is going thus far?
JW: Doing good. Getting better every game. I received the most outstanding prospect award at the St. Anthony Skyline Classic.
PHKY: What is your focus for the rest of the season?
JW: Taking it one game at a time. Not getting to confident. Getting better everyday. Winning state.
PHKY: What schools are recruiting you or have shown interest?
JW: NKU, Boston U, Cornell U, Utah State, Wright State, Indiana University, Belmont, Toledo, Ball State, Minnesota, Nebraska.
PHKY: Do you have any offers?
JW: Ball State and Toledo.
PHKY: Which AAU team will you be playing for this summer?
JW: Indiana Elite.
PHKY: Favorite off court activity?
JW: Favorite off court activity is playing PS4.
