The 6’2″ senior averaged 16.3 points per game this past week at the Nature Coast Christmas Tournament. Although the Gators only picked up one victory in three games, Hill was at the forefront of his team.
Last season, he averaged 10.5 points per game in 24 starts. As a senior, he’s taken his game to another level with an 18.6 point per game average. Hill has reached double digits in all 10 games as Land O’ Lakes sit at 7-3.
He scored 31 of his team’s 65 points in a win over Gulf in the second game of the season and also had 23 points against Central.
In Class 7A-District 8, the Gators should be able to compete with the likes of Mitchell, Springstead and Sunlake. Expect Hill to put the team on his back all season long. Freshman guard Mekhi Perry is the second option for Land O’ Lakes and he’s showing promise.
Hill has the length and the toughness to be a nice player at the next level. Whether his opportunity comes in Division-II, Division-III or NAIA, he deserves a chance somewhere.
