The 6’2″ sophomore is a player that really stood out to me earlier this month. In a 67-47 victory over Clearwater on Jan. 7, Louis was one of three Blue Darters to reach the double-digit mark. He led the way with a team-best 14 points.
Most impressively, he attacked the paint often and knocked down open looks. This kid isn’t done growing and for a young and athletic Apopka team, I expect him to only get better.
The Blue Darters are 12-4 on the season but 1-3 in Class 9A-District 3 play.
“Our team mindset is to get better and our goal is to make it to Lakeland,” Louis said. “That’s all we want to do but we just have to work hard on the court and it’ll soon pay off.”
No offers or interest have come for Louis just yet. But that will change by the end of this season or during the summer in AAU ball. He plays for Team M.O.A.M. and in July is when I first saw him at the Super Showcase in Disney.
