Tre’Jan Walls – 2017 6’2 F – Bardstown – Walls did everything for Bardstown in this game reaching a double-double by the end of the third quarter. He finished with 13 points on 6/9 shooting from the floor and pulled down 13 rebounds. Walls was solid inside doing his job and is a good tough inside presence for the small school.
Santral Farmer – 2017 5’9 G – Bardstown – Farmer is a quick and shifty guard who got to the basket pretty easily but struggled at times to finish. His jumper looked solid and he has a quick pull-up into his shot. Farmer scored a game high 19 points and looked good running the offense dishing off six assists as well.
Kyle Stivers – 2019 6’1 G – Franklin County – Stivers looked like a solid player in this one. He was very aggressive and played pretty decent defense. Dribbled himself into a few turnovers but for the most part he looked good for a sophomore. Stivers scored 15 points to lead the team and dished out four assists.
Anthony Valentine – 2017 6’5 PF – Franklin County – Valentine is a long-haired inside man for Franklin County. He has a decent knack for rebounding the ball and can get after it with the best of them. A bit undersized and his body looks to fit more of the 3 man, but doesn’t show much of a jumper. He had eight rebounds with five of them coming on the offensive end of the ball.
Cayman Hubbard – 2018 6’3 W – Franklin County – Hubbard shot the ball well in the game scoring 14 points on 5/7 shooting off the bench. He grabbed five boards in 21 minutes off the bench. Hubbard struggled on defense though against the Cloverdale shooters but still played pretty well on the wing with his slashing ability.
Jacquess Hobbs – 2017 6’2 CG – Waggener – Hobbs struggled from the floor today just a bit but still scored 19 points. That came on 18 shots though and he had a few important turnovers. He did have four steals and the last giving him an easy lay-in to clinch the game. A decent scoring guard with a little touch.
Jaago Kalakon – 2019 6’4 SF – Waggener – Kalakon is a very interesting sophomore. He doesn’t really have a position and is so athletic and long he can pretty much play every position on the floor. Doesn’t really have a jumper but if he’s close to the rim it’s probably going to get tipped in. He’ll be a guy to watch to see how he progresses into next year
Cobie Montgomery – 2019 6’5 F – Waggener – Montgomery came in and played a really good game inside and had 10 rebounds. He crashes the boards really well and had six offensive rebounds. His defense and rebounding is well ahead of his offense at that point but he’s part of a nice sophomore Waggener duo.
Jamil Wilson – 2017 5’10 PG – Ballard – Wilson played very sporadically today but he still made an impact on the game. He was the guy who ran the offense for Ballard and he also set up the tempo on defense. He was in foul trouble but he still was a solid performer. A true LM or MM guard at the next level, just needs to work on scoring.
Clivontae Patterson – 2017 6’4 SF – Ballard – Patterson is a tall wing who likes to shoot from the top of the key and also likes to drive the ball. He is a solid handler and can get to the rim using his length and athleticism. Patterson needs to work on his efficiency a bit but should be a solid contributor at the next level.
