MVP: Nick Honor (Lake Highland Prep)
Honor, one of the best point guards in the state, showed out in the first half, during a critical point in the first half in which Lake Highland took control of the game, Nick went on a 9-0 run by hitting 3 consecutive three pointers. Honor led the way for the Highlanders as he has done all season, the junior is poised to have a huge summer.

This is for the three consecutive three point shots in the second quarter, most memorable part of a really exciting game.
Best offensive performance: Nick Honor (Lake Highland Prep)
It is becoming a pattern, but when you lead all scorers and lead your team to victories you’re going to be a standout.
Best defensive performance: Jaxson Strates (Lake Highland Prep)
The big man had a couple of key blocks in the paint in the second half when Cypress Creek were closing in.
Best guy off the bench: Jack Gabriel (Lake Highland Prep)
Gabriel had a positive impact on the game with some hustle plays and ended up playing key minutes down the stretch.
Best intangibles: EJ Jimenez (Lake Highland)
Jimenez plays his role, he runs the offense when needed and can get to the basket. EJ plays good defense and does the small things well to help his team.
Best under-the-radar performance: Jose Guadalupe (Cypress Creek)
Jose had 9 points, including a huge three that pulled Cypress to within 1 with 9 seconds left.
Best underclassmen: Malik Dixon (Lake Highland)
The sophomore starts for the Highlanders and gives them solid minutes, he ended up with 9 points tonight.
Best rebounder: Jaxson Strates (Lake Highland Prep)
Jaxson had a good rebounding game to go along with the two key blocks, he finished the game with 9 rebounds.
Best story to watch moving forward: Lake Highland Prep and Cypress Creek
With both teams having solid seasons, I will be looking forward to seeing how they perform in their division tournaments coming up.
