The Toronto, Ontario native transferred from St. Michaels College School to come down to Florida. He quickly made a name for himself and officially committed to Pittsburgh earlier this year.
Carr had 17 points in two games as the Eagles capture the 2016 City of Palms Classic title this week for the third time since 2012.
He called the City of Palms, “a tournament like no other.”
The 6’1″, 175-pounder is part of the nationally ranked Montverde team, who sits at No. 3 in the USA Today Super 25.
At 9-0, Carr says the season has gone pretty well.
“We are just trying to keep getting better as the season goes on,” he said. “This is my second year at Montverde I didn’t play last year because I was injured.”

“I would say my game is playmaking. I can score and create for others and I can also defend,” he said. “I’m looking to improve my consistency from 3.
Carr ranks No. 17 in Prep Hoops Florida class rankings.
He played the last five years for coach Vidal Messiah and the Northern Kings in Toronto.
Carr is a shifty player who can get off the dribble and knock down jumpers. He passes with the best of them, plays with endless energy and really looks the part. Carr’s basketball IQ is through the roof. He’ll fit right into the style of basketball that Pittsburgh plays.
