Jones is averaging 10 points and 7 rebounds per game. “We have started the season very well. I think we have all the pieces to go back to the state championship. I’ve performed well the past few games and I’m willing to do anything I can for the team to get us back to the state championship,” said Jones.
Jones, who stands 6’5, is an athlete that can play anywhere from the 3 to 5 position. “I’m good at getting to the rim and I can shoot. On the defensive end I definitely like to guard our opponents best player.” During the off-season, Jones has been working on his all-around game, putting a focus on being a threat around the perimeter as well.
A number of teams have reached out to Jones, including serious looks from Campbellsville, Kentucky Wesleyan, and Lincoln Memorial. A number of other NAIA schools as well as some JUCO’s have also been in contact. “My game should catch college coaches eyes because I’m a hard worker and I’m willing to push myself and my teammates.”
Jones’ high school team is a contender to win the state title this year. Bowling Green has already won games handily against Hopkinsville, North Hardin, and Elizabethtown – all contenders to make it to Rupp Arena this year.
