“I try to be an elite scorer by getting to the basket and shooting open jumpshots and also getting my teammates involved,” Reed said.
Reed played a solid role in the Blue Tornado’s success last season. The athlete averaged 10.8 points and 5.6 rebounds per contest and dished out a significant amount of assists. Reed says that he and his Tilghman club have gotten off to a good start this year.
“We’ve lost two games but we’ve all been playing great,” Reed stated. “I’m averaging around 20 points and 5 rebounds (per game).”
In the classroom at the high school, Reed says he is a hard worker.
“I have a 3.2 GPA and take all honors classes,” the player noted.
The versatile guard currently holds an offer from Samford and says he has been shown interest from multiple programs in West Virginia, Northern Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Austin Peay, Kent State and Wright State, and that more coaches should start to reach out because he always gives his all.
“I think I should catch coaches’ eyes because of my athleticism and my potential,” Reed added. “I can see myself getting better and better every year with my level of potential.”
