“My strong suit is my all-around game,” Fay said. “I can get to the basket whenever I need to and hit free throws. My jumper has come a long way; I have the ability to shoot deep threes now and I work on both ends with my athletic ability as a guard at 6’3 with the ability to block and get steals for dunks.”
Fay, who was a member of the Tates Creek High School program last year, played a solid role in the Commodores’ success. The player filled the stat sheet in each game and now with a new team, Fay says that he and his MCHS club have gotten off to a good start to the season, but he has suffered an injury.
“This season was starting good until I injured my leg and won’t be back until June,” Fay stated. “I would score easily 20 points (a game) and my team is struggling because I was the main guy but now they are starting to get a hang of everything.”
In the classroom at the high school, Fay says he is a hard worker.
“I’m a really good student in the classroom with a 3.0 GPA – and this year I have A’s and B’s this first semester,” the player noted.
The versatile guard currently holds a scholarship offer from Alice Lloyd College. Along with the offer, he says he has been shown interest from multiple programs, and that more coaches should start to reach out because he always gives his all.
“My game should catch college’s eyes because I’m a leader and I lead by example,” Fay added. “I don’t just score, I also make plays for others and know how to read the defense and I have a swagger that I’m the best player on the court even if I’m not; that’s just my mentality. So being confident will never be a issue and I’m a gym rat – I’m always in the gym before and after practice.”
