After playing both basketball and football a year ago, Morgane has turned his focus to the court for Hillsborough.
At 6’4″, 190 lbs., he has packed on 10 lbs. of muscle this off-season. He plays the three spot but moves to shooting guard and can play power forward in a pinch.
On Wednesday night, Moragne added 10 points, seven rebounds and three steals. He made some tough shots and really flourished on the glass.
He spent the summer with CP25 Southeast Elite on the AAU circuit. Here’s what the senior had to say about the progression in his game since then.
“Since this summer I have improved a lot in being able to take my defender off the dribble and finish strong around the basket or distribute the ball to my teammates,” Moragne told Prep Hoops Florida. “Also, I have become a lot more consistent in my ability to shoot the mid-range jumper.”
The latest interest for Morgane has come from a trio of Florida-based teams in Eckerd, Saint Leo and Florida Southern.
Previous interest came from Alabama A&M, West Florida, Mississippi Valley State, Lee and Delta State.
It’s just a matter of time before Moragne lands an offer. I fully expect him to play at the next level. Whether that comes at the lower Division-I level, Division-II level or NAIA level remains to be seen. He should have options here soon.
