The 5’11”, 170-pounder had seven points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal in a 58-42 loss to visiting Wharton.
He didn’t give up anything easy on defense and on offense he hustled on the boards when he didn’t have the ball in his hands. He’s a savvy player in the 2018 class.
Alongside senior Devin Wilson and juniors Justin Rush and Jordan Miner, Williams is someone that can control the offense and keep everything in check.
He won’t score a ton in games because he’s an unselfish player. But as an outside shooter, he flourishes and can get inside as well with his quick feet and heads up mentality.
Williams is a junior to monitor throughout this season. He has no offers or interest just yet, but his knack to make a smart play mixed with his high basketball IQ is standing out.
