“My strong suits are scoring and defending,” Patterson said. “Over the years I’ve became a smooth, efficient scorer, but I’ve always had defense. I can guard the best of them and score with the best of them as well.”
Patterson says he and his teammates started the season off a bit “rocky,” but are starting to come around.
“This season started off a little rocky for us,” Patterson stated. “We weren’t able to get a win on the road, but we’re starting to put it together and come out with wins. I’ve performed well but I still have a lot to improve on.”
In the classroom at the high school, Patterson says he is a hard worker.
“In the classroom, I’ve grown over the years from being immature in my early years,” Patterson noted. “I’ve grown and stepped up and started taking care of my grades in the classroom. I work hard, I focus and study and I stay on top of my grades because they’re important to me.”
Although he hasn’t received any direct offers yet, Patterson says that he has been shown interest from multiple smaller college programs and says that more college coaches and programs should start to reach out because he gives his all.
“I’m a hard worker on and off the court,” Patterson added. “I put in 5 to 6 hours a day into the game of basketball. Off the court I try and build and grow as one with my teammates in order for everyone to stay focused on the same goal. And I’m coachable.”
