He’s had to be even more of a contributor this season with the transfers of Berrick Jeanlouis (Canterbury) and Emmitt Williams (IMG) and the death of teammate Ste’fan Strawder. Martin is wearing Strawder’s old No. 2 jersey to honor his friend and former teammate.
Martin was dependable for Lehigh, adding 11 points on Thursday night. He flashed his defensive prowess against the Fort Myers attack. At 6’5″, 210 lbs., the length, speed and effort is there from the senior.
Then on Friday night, in a 61-53 loss to Jonesboro (Ga.) in the City of Palms Classic in Fort Myers, Fla. he had 22 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Martin is ranked No. 90 in the Prep Hoops Florida 2017 rankings.
For Lehigh, this team is full of athletes and having Martin at the forefront certainly helps. He opens so much up for other players as he draws double teams and dishes out passes and attacks down low. Look for Martin to have a big senior campaign.
