“(I) do what it takes for my team to win,” Wilson said. “With Ballard, (I) mainly score, but get in the lane and make plays. (I am a) good on-ball defender and make plays off the ball to create in transition.”
Wilson says he and his teammates have gotten off to a pretty good start to the season.
“(The) season started okay – (it) could be better,” Wilson stated. “(The) team looks better than expected. (We) have a good chance to win state. (I had a) minor ankle injury just occur. (I) feel like I’m going to have a big rest of the season.”
In the classroom at the high school, Wilson says he is a hard worker.
“(I have a) 3.6 weighted GPA and a 22 on the ACT,” Wilson noted. “(I am a) good student and school comes easy to me.”
Although he hasn’t received any direct offers yet, Wilson says that he has been shown interest from multiple mid-major college programs in Ball State, Eastern Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Jacksonville State and New Orleans and says that more college coaches and programs should start to reach out because he gives his all.
“(I) take care of the ball and get in the lane at will to make plays,” Wilson added. (I am a) good defender and am improved off the ball. (I) can score. (I am a ) good leader.”
