The 6’1″, 185-pounder is fresh off football season so he’s in solid shape. In a 96-69 loss to Cambridge Christian, Kitt only hit on 2-of-10 shots from the field, but he added 11 points which included 10 in the first half alone.
Against Meadowbrook the following night, the junior had 24 points and 11 rebounds. On the season, he ranks fourth on the team in scoring with 11.3 points per game and first in rebounds with 4.5 a game.
At 5-1, Bayshore Christian is playing solid basketball all around under head coach Broderick Day. Kitt is just one of the few hard workers that the Faith Warriors have on their side.
“Da’Aundre is an undersized post player that takes advantage of his quickness against bigger opponents. We are able to put him on the wing or at the high post,” Day told Prep Hoops Florida. “He can push the ball and hit the midrange jump shot.”
Da’Aundre is getting back into the basketball groove after having a good football season. His work ethic speaks for itself.”
Day hit it right on the head when he said that Kitt takes advantage with his quickness. This junior is scrappy, he isn’t afraid to mix it up with the bigger guys or the speedsters out there. Along with David Santiago, Christian Anderson and Jeremiah Wicks, Bayshore Christian has a nice collection of talent right now.
Kitt deserves a look at the next level simply because he’s accustomed to guarding almost every position on the court. He rarely gives up on a play and a has a non-stop motor.
