The 6’4″, 168 lbs. is lean but mobile. He uses his length to his advantage and he put that on display on Wednesday night in a 59-58 loss to Windermere Prep in the Crusaders’ season opener.
Harrison tied the game up at 58 with 25 seconds left on a tough attacking layup. He found room all on his own and it gave Tampa Catholic a chance late.
The freshman brought in a couple of key rebounds and showed up on defense against some physical interior players of Windermere Prep, Xion Golding and Will Seelman.
Harrison is still raw in terms of his overall talent, but his game will expand playing alongside top 2017 talent Kevin Knox, crafty spot up shooter Nick Giorgi and a trio of athletic junior guards Tim Carter, Tai Strickland and Messiah Turner.
Look for Harrison to gain the trust of his teammates even further as the season rolls along. He showed plenty of grittiness and smarts in his varsity debut. He’s a freshman to keep an eye on this year and beyond.
