He is a very athletic player and you can tell he has put in the time this summer to work on his game as he knocking down the outside shot with much higher consistency.
Q: So what have you learned so far about your team, through the summer time and during the regular season?
Jon Gauer: That we can be a special team when we all share the ball, we all can score, when the ball moves we can be really good.
Q: You guys are 6-1 but now you have the big time matchups coming up with Freedom, Trinity and so on, do u feel they first few games have helped you all mesh?
Jon Gauer: Yes I think it has helped us a lot, we have been able to learn each other’s games really well so once we get to the bigtime games and matchups I believe we will do well and people will see that we are a good team
Q: What would you describe yourself as player wise?
Jon Gauer: Athletic scorer, I can score the ball well, get my teammates involved and make plays above the rim
Q: What’s something that you do every time on game day?
Jon Gauer: Milk Shake, Vanilla, and it has to be from Chick Fila.
Q: Any special music that you like to listen to before the games?
Jon Gauer: Famous Dex
Q: Favorite pro team and player?
Jon Gauer: Washington Wizards and John Wall
Q: You guys have these big games coming up against some powerhouse teams, some that you have played in jamborees over the summer, do you feel like that gave you guys more confidence to play them during the season?
Jon Gauer: I believe it helped, we knew we were good but we weren’t sure about how we would match up, and both teams have great players though. When we played Trinity I think they were a little surprised when we came out but overall it was a good learning experience for us and it showed us what we needed to work on.
