Standout Players/Players to watch
Freedom Christian 2019 Guard Jamahri Harvey: Jamahri led all scorers in the game with 19 Points, with the majority of his damage coming in the 2nd half, at 6’5 with a long wingspan, you can see the potential in his game without a doubt. He can score the ball well and when he’s aggressive he puts constant pressure of defenses, SC State was the first school to pull the trigger and offer but they won’t be the last.
Freedom Christian 2017 Forward Milos Supicia: Milos hasn’t been in the States for long but he has progressed well in his short time being here and has already made his decision to attend Quinnipiac University. He didn’t have his best night performance wise, finishing with 7 Points but showed some skills from the high post playing the stretch forward spot.
Fayetteville Academy 2017 Guard Jon Gauer: Jon started off the game very well scoring the ball, in the 1st half he finished with 10 Points unofficially, he showed his athletic ability as well as the ability to finish difficult shots. Although his jumper wasn’t falling he still contributed and stay aggressive throughout, WSSU was in the building to watch him play on Tuesday night.
Fayetteville Academy 2017 Guard Demetrius Jones: NAIA, JC and D3 schools should be all over this young man, he has a very quiet demeanor but when it’s time to play he brings it. As soon as the game began he provided some offense for his squad, knocking down some tough midrange pullup shots and getting the cup, he continues to improve just about every time we see him.
Fayetteville Academy 2019 Guard John Michael Wright: The development of this young man has been fun to watch, over the last few years he has turned into a player that demands defensive attention whenever he steps on the floor. When it’s time to make a big time play , he wants the ball so that he can make that play or set his teammate up to do so, He finished with 15 Points on the night with the majority of them coming in the 2nd half.
Fayetteville Academy 2019 Forward/Center Emmanuel Izunabor: Emmanuel didn’t have an outstanding night scoring the ball but he did just about everything else for his team. He blocked shots, rebounded the ball very well and brought constant energy, at 6’9 with a good build already, he’s catching the eye of college coaches already with WSSU extending an offer to him.
