However it must be noted that he is not a one game wonder, throughout his high school career he’s shot a high percentage and is very successful in catch and shoot situation.
New Life Christian 2017 Guard Gene Brown: Gene doesn’t not have the most eye pleasing shooting form but it gets the job done, throughout the times that I’ve seen him play he has knocked down multiple treys in games. He is productive shooting the ball off the dribble and off the catch and doesn’t need much space to get his shot off, is averging double figures in scoring so far.
Wayne Country Day 2018 Guard Cole Atwood: My first time watching this young man play he knocked down four treys against Trinity Christian, even though it was not an outrageous amount of threes, you could tell by his form and confidence that he shot with that he is a natural shooter. For WCD to be successful they will need him to bring that sharpshooting on a nightly basis, which would not allow teams to double team Jamal King without paying a price.
Forsyth Country Day 2018 Guard Tripp Greene: We all know this young man, time and time again he has come up with clutch shots to lead his team to wins in close games, he has a very smooth shooting stroke and doesn’t force plays at all. At the moment he is averaging close to 20 PPG and is shooting the trey ball at close to 40 percent, his team will be battling some top notch competition once again this year in the NCISAA 3A division.
Village Christian 2017 Guard Jordan Ratliffe: Many of us know Jordan for his athleticism and overall scoring ability but what gets overlooked sometimes is his overall ability to shoot the ball, he gets outstanding lift on his shot and can shoot it from deep. He has the ability to knock down shots off the dribble and off the catch with ease, to make it plain and simple this young man is not a player that you want to play zone defense against. He’s have another good year for Village Christian so far and if they are to repeat as 2A champs, Village will need this same production from him throughout the remainder of the year which we expect to happen without a doubt.
