Perez sprouted this off-season growing from 5’7″ to 6’0″, so that will help him tremendously in the backcourt this season. Here’s how he would break down his own game.
“This summer and off-season I worked a lot with the coaches and have seen the improvement and I look forward to having a great season,” he said. “I feel that I’m a good ball handler and that helps me create shots for myself.
“I do a good job getting my teammates involved and I’m a smart player that can knock down shots consistently. I need to get bigger and continue working as one thing emphasized here at my school is developing and expanding your game to be the best you can be.”
Moving down from Boston, Mass., Perez used to play travel ball with the Boston Bobcats. He started with the Thunder Struck a bit here last spring.
“This season I look forward to playing on a circuit and competing against great competition,” he said.
Currently, Perez has yet to receive an offer, but he has interest from Troy and USC Aiken.
Part of a very youthful Tigers group, Perez is a breakout candidate in the state of Florida. He has good size at 6’0″ and knows he needs to get stronger at 155 lbs. Look for this kid to step up in a big way for a much different looking Dunnellon team this season.
