The sophomore combo guard led First Baptist Naples in points per game last season with 14.3. The Lions went 16-9 and the 6’2″, 160-pounder showed up time and time again for his team.
He also averaged 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game as the Naples Daily News handed out an honorable mention for his performances as a freshman.
Urbancic totaled 10 or more points in all but five games last season. Over the first 12 games, he reached that mark which included a three-game streak with 20 plus points. He had four of those games in total.
This kid is talented. He can flat out shoot from the perimeter and he hustles on defense. Playing for Team Speights this summer has furthered his game. Expect First Baptist to flourish under Urbancic’s control as he comes into his own even more as a sophomore.
