The 6’2″, 180-pound senior started his high school career at Auburndale then moved to Santa Fe Catholic. King moved back to the Bloodhounds sidelines this summer and it has been so far so good with his old crew.
He had 25 points in Saturday’s 80-72 win over Auburndale in the Turkey Shootout at Lehigh. King also doubles as a wide receiver and safety for the Bloodhounds.
King has been successful throughout high school and on Saturday he flashed his high-end abilities. He attacked the basket often and took command of his offense.
Throughout the game, King covered Gulf Coast 6’6″ wing Bryce Foggin. He stuck with Foggin and showed his pure athleticism.
The leadership qualities that King has is truly endless. He distributes the rock throughout games and makes the most of each possession.
He holds offers for football from Coffeyville Community College and Iowa Western Community College. King could play either sport, but right now during basketball season expect him to draw attention. He deserves a shot whether it comes in Division-II, Division-III or NAIA. King is always learning.
