The Westminster Academy freshman participated in the 2016 USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team October minicamp this year.
The Lions fell four points short of a 3A state championship last season going 23-7. They return junior stud Zach Bryant, Division-I commit Paul Atkinson (Yale), sophomore spot up shooter Chase Johnston and welcome Northeastern commit Jason Strong to the mix from Cardinal Gibbons.
Add Blackwell into fold and boy this team is going to do some serious damage. Moving up to Class 4A from 3A this season, the Lions have a nice group filled with length and true talent.
Blackwell is already on the map and playing alongside a bunch of experienced players will boost his game. Expect this kid to explode as a freshman and make Westminster that much better.
