The 6’1″ senior guard led the charge for the Crusaders on Tuesday night in a 60-51 loss to Jesuit.
Lue had a team-best 18 points, 11 of which came in the third quarter.
At one point, he connected on three straight 3’s before laying in a tough jumper in transition in the third.
After averaging 8.0 points and 3.8 assists last season, it is clear Lue has taken command of this offense as a true leader.
He had seven points at the half against Jesuit and played lock down defense on both Thierry Moliere and Stevie Darst.
In talking with Lue after the game, he told me that he’s drawn interest from Division-II Embry-Riddle along with a list of Division-III programs.
First Trinity College, Thomas College, Susquehanna University, Wentworth, Austin College, The College of Mount Saint Vincent and Houghton College are among those Division-III schools that have shown strong interest in him.
Lue is a poised player and wherever he winds up, he’ll have success. Division-III would be a good spot for him as he could do what he does now and that’s take over an offense with his leadership skills.
