The Calvary Christian senior is fresh off his final football season for the Warriors where he excelled as a wide receiver and safety. Dials finished fourth on the basketball team in scoring a year ago with 7.6 points per game. He also averaged 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
At 6’2″, 178 lbs., Dials has lethal speed and is able to chase down rebounds and find open shooters with ease. He also plays very hard on the defensive side of the ball using his long arms to his advantage.
He had 14 games with 10 or more points this past season as Calvary Christian went 20-9 as things ended in the Class 4A region quarterfinal in a loss to Seffner Christian.
Over the final nine games of the season, Dials reached the 10-point mark in six which included a 14-point performance on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor against an always tough Jesuit defense.
Along with fellow seniors Paxton Wilson, Eddie Williams and Juice Williams, this Warriors group has a lot to work with. Add in junior 3-point shooter Austin Meloche and Calvary Christian should be able to contend in 4A this season. Dials is just a small part of this team’s success, but so far he’s been able to thrive.
Expect a nice senior campaign from Dials as he gets more comfortable on the basketball court.
