The Plant wing showed well a year ago for the Panthers despite the team’s 4-22 record. He has a nice jumper and isn’t afraid to mix it up defensively either.
Henson participated in the Florida Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo last month and stood out for much of the afternoon. He is a very unselfish player who dishes out assists, gets down low for key rebounds and attacks the basket with his range. His leadership will take him a long way.
At 6’5″, he has the size to play all around the lineup and for a Plant team that can only improve off of last year’s record, Henson should shine once again. He plays AAU ball for the Tampa Titans Select and that gives him the extra grittiness during the season.
Henson is a 2017 prospect that doesn’t earn too much attention playing a Plant program known more for its football than basketball. However, this year expect a turnaround from the Panthers with Henson more confident and mature than a season ago.
