Continue ReadingThis has been another great summer for grassroots basketball at all levels. From The Nike EYBL circuit to Addidas Nations players from North Carolina were showcased on some of the biggest stages in the world. With the July evaluation period now over we updated our 2018 rankings based on improvement, level of play and offers that were reeled in over the summer. We also added 40 new names to our rankings to give us a top 100 in North Carolina for the 2018 class.
Coby White stays at number one in our post-July rankings, and committed to The University of North Carolina this past week.
North Carolina’s other 2018 commit, Rechon Black announced he will transfer from Concord High School and attend Montverde Academy in Florida therefore being removed from our PrepHoopsNC rankings.
Devon Dotson, a 6’0 PG out of Providence Day has moved up a spot to number two, taking Black’s spot.
At number three is another transfer, Damon Harge Jr a 5’9 point guard who played last season at Orlando Christian Prep in Florida will suit up for Christ School in Asheville, North Carolina this season.
Our number four ranked player is Greensboro Day shooting guard John Newman III who had a productive summer with Team CP3 16U and picked up some high major offers.
Jairus Hamilton is at number six in the latest rankings.
Trey Wertz, a 6-4 shooting guard at Providence Day jumped up three spots to number six after a really good July and picked up a ACC offer from Clemson over the summer.
Will Dillard of Greensboro Day checks in at number seven, Elijah McCadden who transferred from Rocky Mount Prep to Greenfield School is our number eight recruit.
Two-sport star Tre Turner of Northwest Guilford HS and Team CP3 is number nine and big man Jude Azubuke of Promincnce Academy and Team CP3 is our number ten recruit.
