He teamed with his brother Keyshaun while playing with Team CP3 15’s over the summer and averaged 16 points per game.
Kobe is a defensive work-horse who can change a game with his intensity. The lefty can score in a variety of ways, create off the dribble, has great court vision and can control the tempo of the game. He describes his game as, “the most important parts of my game is my ability to will my team to victory. Being a leader on the court I take pride on them defensive end and I can score when I want. I’m very explosive off the dribble real crafty with the ball coachable and I’m very competitive.”
Kobe and his two brothers, Keyshaun and Kameron helped lead Southwest Guilford High School to a 27-3 record including a 9-1 record in the Peidmont Triad 4-A Conference. Southwest Guilford advanced to the 4th round of the NCHSAA playoffs before bowing out to eventual champion Charlotte Catholic. Making it that far in the playoffs builds a fire in Kobe and his goals for next season are, “I’m going to work on getting stronger and out work everybody that’s going for the #1 spot in the nation. This high school season I will to get my 1,000 points and get a state championship ring.”
Virginia Tech Head Coach Buzz Williams has offered the 6-foot-2 point guard a scholarship already and he has recently heard from Tulane and Arizona. NC State, East Carolina, Old Dominion, Virginia, Tennessee and Notre Dame have shown interest in Langley.
When making a decision on his future with playing college basketball, Langley said this about the right situation. “I’m going to make sure it’s the best suited place/safe environment for me and making sure I fit the program system/style of play and a trusting coaching staff.”
